Review on Colorescience Sunforgettable Mineral Sunscreen Brush by Kathy Morales

Makeup without makeup

Have been using it for years. Works well for my acne prone combination skin and protects it from the sun. Gives a beautiful glow to the face and hides some imperfections. It's see-through so if you have something to hide I recommend using a good concealer as it won't hide everything. When I have an Asian glow, I seem to restore my color from beet red to a neutral with more pink undertones. Darker colors are good because you can use them for contouring. Bright colors help you stand out. The effect is very natural, so it looks like you are not wearing any makeup. It's also waterproof for 80 minutes, which is important to me because I swim. Due to the water resistance, you will need to use a makeup remover to remove this. A detergent will not suffice. First use a cleaning oil. Update: Years after writing this review, I still use this product as a daily makeup/sunscreen and love how it fits so well into my 5 minute makeup routine. People are so used to me wearing this product that when I'm not wearing it they tell me I look tired instead of my usual glowing look (I guess some things stay the same). I'm an avid hiker and this has helped me get the sunscreen I need now that I'm more serious about protecting my skin. It takes a while to activate the new brush, but once activated it works very well. I just start swirling on tissue paper with a new brush, watch YouTube videos and keep going until I see color. I also wouldn't recommend applying it to sweaty, greasy, freshly creamed/oiled skin as this will make the bristles of the brush less effective. If you're concerned about brush cleanliness, I recommend simply pouring the powder out and then applying it with another brush, or using it right after the final skincare step but only after your lotions/oils/serum has dried are. I wear tan in the summer and medium in the winter. If I have a tan left over in the winter, I can use it as a light contour bronzer.
