First of all it was already assembled in the box. It came in very handy as we had it in our nursery and my son arrived 5 weeks early. We were able to do more things to complete the prep for him while he was in ICU because we didn't have to spend an hour or so assembling it. That's a wonderful thing. It's not heavy, but it's strong enough to stand on rugs (even shaggy rugs) and stay in place. It has secure wall mounts to make it more welcoming for a home with young children. What I want is for the cute baskets to look like they're about to fall apart (or at least about to fall apart). It doesn't matter because it was only in one place. What annoys me a lot is that the baskets don't have a full bottom. You have to plug and unplug them every time. So if you plan to use this in a place where you frequently pull out drawers, you might want to reconsider your decision. I have chosen to use it alongside my feeding chair and even climbing in once or twice a week seems to shorten the lifespan of the baskets. They then really have to work in and out of their space. Either way, it looks very chic in your space.
