I got these for my closet without measuring (my bad emoji) so they were too big to fit all 3 side by side on my intended shelf. That being said, they were a lot bigger than I thought - I assumed they were small given the price - and I was only able to use one on my shelf for all of my living room crockery, put one on my husband's shelf for his, and a third on the Linen rack to hold all our towels and washcloths. It made our dressing room very neat and organized. You tie the handles yourself (very easily, with a simple knot) - and they provide enough handle segments for you to decide whether you want a handle on the front, just two sides, or all three (two sides and one front). .) There is a reinforced bottom like you often find in those cubic boxes/baskets - and overall it seems very sturdy, all ours are heavy. Happy with this purchase.
