Review on ๐Ÿ”† Optimized Solar Panel Recharger: Goal Zero Nomad 7 Plus - Enhanced Nomad 7 Plus by Josh Cooper

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great solar panel for Venture 30 and Venture 70 batteries.

Edit: Broke after the second day of testing. - Preparing for a 16 day hike so tested it today and it was able to fully charge a company 30 after being in the sun all day. The manual says 5 hours, but it took about twice as long to fully charge almost from zero. With plans to charge friends' devices, Enterprise 30 can be a bit shy. Now I'm thinking about bringing a Venture 70 with me. It may not be fully charged, but it will maximize all the energy it can get from the sun if it gets more than Venture 30 on any given day. Compared to Nomad 13, it is slightly lighter when the footrest is removed. And the design is much simpler, with just one real cable that I can route through my backpack and into the side pocket where the battery is kept. The Nomad 13 also has an extra valve that is not needed. In addition, the Nomad 13 is made of nylon. which absorbs water and adds weight. The Nomad 14 has no fabric and is easy to wipe clean. Overall, this is a definite improvement in simplicity over the Nomad 13.
