Review on Peerless Claymore Chrome Wall-Mount Kitchen Sink Faucet: Sleek Design & Easy Handling - P299305LF by Mark Bearden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good for the price and I didn't need a plumber!

I installed the faucet about a month ago and it works great. I bought a really nice chrome swivel aerator here at Revain and I'm ready to go. It took me a week to get up the courage and try to install it. I've never done plumbing and my pipes must be at least 50 years old. As some people have pointed out, most wall mounted faucets are found in older homes, and problems can easily arise that you don't know about until you remove the old faucet. I'm glad I read the reviews first. I made sure I had applied wd-40 to the old faucet's nuts/joints the night before attempting to remove it, had a roll of duct tape, and was ready to make an emergency call to the plumber. My pipes only have a few threads left (the rest have rusted) to tighten them. I had to remove the faucet after the first try because the hot water side was leaking. More tape and fingers crossed. I didn't tighten it so much that the pipe burst. Ph.. it worked. It would have been a little easier if someone else helped hold it every now and then, but I managed it on my own. For the price the faucet is of very good quality and is as good as gold plated for a badly battered faucet. replaced. The design of the faucet fits very well in a kitchen that still retains many old features.

  • Kitchen Faucets
