I bought this medium in the hope that my beloved rats would be suitable for walking on the go. Although advertised as suitable for 2-3 full sized rats, it barely fits one of my little guys. They're not even grown yet, they're only 4 months old and being the average size didn't have enough room to turn around comfortably let alone anything else. He spent the whole time trying desperately to get out. However, I have STILL found a use for it. I cut out the "window" section and created a kind of "slippers" that they like to sleep in. I would NOT recommend this product for the purpose it was advertised for but this is a decent little rat bed. I don't know about other small pets, but this is not suitable for rats or anything the size of a rat.
