This filter works very well and with a wall mount it doesn't get in the way. It's smooth enough not to be noticeable, and low settings are almost silent. I mounted the outlet high up on the wall behind the unit to keep the cord from hanging down. In automatic mode, it increases the fan speed when the air quality is poor and switches back to a low speed when the air quality is better. I've been using it for a few months now and haven't had any problems with it. I'm in Florida and the pollen is very thick, I've had terrible allergies for the last few years. Tree pollen, which lasts from February to April, somehow gets into the house. Before I started using an air purifier, I couldn't stop using it. Using this device throughout the day has made my living room and surrounding area allergy free. I have a Honeywell that works in my bedroom but doesn't perform that well and is very noisy even on the lowest settings. The only issue I have with the air purifier is the price and the price of replacement filters. I paid about $350 for it and bought an additional replacement filter which cost about $70. The filters are not washable and I don't think I can survive 6 months without a filter. I haven't had to change the filter yet, but it's almost completely yellow with pollen. If the price was lower I would buy a few more of these. If you are looking for a quiet wall unit and can afford it I would say yes I would definitely recommend this air purifier.
