I decided to buy a device of the same brand (according to the "lesser evil" principle, and also because of the presence of wifi and the possibility of connecting a 2nd camera. 1) the quality of the video compared to 518 has not changed. details, car numbers are hardly visible (especially if objects are on the sides of the lens axis or are moving). At low speed or without movement, you can still read the car numbers normally, at a speed close to 60 km / h you may not even read the numbers on the car at the curb. 2) battery. after turning off the ignition, the device turns off after ~ 5-10 seconds. The device cannot work independently. 3) apotheosis - wifi ! ))) nothing more than a publicity stunt. to connect a smartphone to the device, you need to dance with a tambourine. I did it (sgs7), but the video downloads sooooo slowly and the whole point of this idea / operation is lost. (Moreover, after downloading the video, the smartphone began to behave inappropriately until it was overloaded). it's easier to buy an sd card adapter for your phone and download videos from the sd card directly to your phone. in the event of an accident or a stop, neither you nor the traffic police officer will have the patience to wait until 1 video file is downloaded. 4) before deciding to buy mio, read reviews / forums on the Internet and on the play market for mio applications. mio (it seems intentionally) does not have contact numbers, communication via email on the website, or through some forums, while there is a lot of negativity. My mistake - I chased a model with wifi, without first reading it with reviews in the play market)) I don’t see the point of taking a model with wifi. If there is a v /mio of the previous model, there is not much point in changing it to 788. But apparently in the price category from 6 to 9all v /leave much to be desired.
