I spend as much time smoothing my curves as I do wearing them. After all, I mainly wear shorts when I'm gardening. I live in Southeast Texas, which is very hot and humid. I'm not sure what kind of "athletics" a person could do in them, but they're too thick, too grippy, and too short for me. If that doesn't bother you, then I recommend buying several pairs in different colors. but if not, look elsewhere.
