This is my first "professional" microdermabrasion machine, but I'm no newbie to microdermabrasion. This is going to be a long review because I really hope it helps others when trying to decide what type of machine to choose. I have at least 7 handheld devices including Microderm Glo. Most units average between $30 and $50, while the Microderm Glo costs $250 with additional heads. After using cheaper devices for many years I got tired of having to replace them as the heads were always cheap plastic which cracked after a few uses resulting in loss of suction. More importantly, interchangeable heads were not available on any device, I checked with every seller! I became an expert in superglue and head glue. I invested in Microderm Glo and was happy with it until 2 weeks later it just stopped working for no reason. So I'm sticking with all the cheap wearables and the super expensive, utterly useless Microderm Glo. I decided to try one of the professional devices and chose this one and I couldn't be happier! Not only does it have fantastic suction power, but all of the heads are stainless steel with rubber seals, eliminating the need to use those stupid cracked plastic MacGyver heads. Cleaning the heads is also very easy! I use a brow coil to remove built up skin/sebum while using the machine and my ultrasonic jewelry cleaning machine for just a few minutes between uses for a deep clean and they look brand new. Literally everything you need or could need is included and I am very happy with this purchase. At the same time I bought it, I saw that there were sets of replacement heads for as little as $14, so I went ahead and ordered one. I'm happy to say it was completely unnecessary! If you're looking for a microdermabrasion system and you're serious about skin care, don't worry about portable devices. You get what you pay for! Even the purchase of an extremely expensive PDA was a waste of time for me in the long run. I wholeheartedly recommend the Doris Direct dermabrasion device!
