I used to lose my keys a lot. Until I attached it to a carabiner to hook my purse. I hear and see them - it helps me to know I have them. But one day a ring and key slipped off the carabiner, luckily right in my driveway. The 2 locks on this ring are perfect. I keep my keys downstairs and they stay locked (as well as a skinny multi-tool, an emergency whistle and a small flashlight). and there were some hair ties on the top for easy access to the keys/bin and I open it when I remove or change keys on my purse strap. It slows things down a bit, but the blocking feature is worth the extra time.
