We have two of these because we love being able to rotate plugs and having extra outlets; However, when I held my phone, I noticed that the cord inside my phone was melting. I turned it off and my husband swapped it out for a newer one. Then I noticed something hot was lying on the bed. After 10-15 minutes the new cable had also melted! Both cables were fine when we tested them with a different connector for a few minutes, but they've lost their ability to carry power and are unsafe now anyway. We were both burned from the heat and we were lucky we didn't have an electrical fire that injured or killed anyone. Don't forget the house!____________________ UPDATE: The seller asked me to change the rating after I got my money back. Here is an abridged version of my answer: As a direct result of the plugs failing, the following happened: 1) Two people were injured 2) Two USB cables were melted 3) Two charging stations were broken 4) MY PHONE needs repair I wasn't aware of at the time , my husband removed my first plug only because he thought it was ok and we were still waiting for a replacement the next day. When he then replaced both of them and plugged in his new charging station, he found that the last two chargers had shorted out when he was using their plug. We've now lost about $500 on costly repairs and replacements. ____________________ My review is still standing. This is more than an honest and accurate account of our experience.
