We use them as bedside tables in our bedroom for a rather high bed and they are quite suitable for this purpose. However, we don't have much about them. Light items only. If you need something more substantial, this may not be what you're looking for. They are more of what I would call an accent table, not for anything too heavy. They weren't difficult to put together. Maybe 20 minutes. Good buy for a hostel or something for now (our need). But not something I would buy with long-term ambitions.
