These new adapters should have been made by Arlo but the loss is still our gain. After endless battery changes and reluctance to throw away cameras because of the battery option, I started looking for an alternative. Enter adapter friends. Why not give 5 stars instead of 4? Only one additional adapter (included) is required to connect the power supply. It is not known why the long cable is not simply terminated correctly. I missed this on my original install and tried using a different Arlo USB power adapter without any instructions and it just didn't work properly. Eventually it was discovered that if you don't use all the parts supplied, the cameras will only power up to the advertised 14%. Once I reconnected everything with the right parts, 100% and still consistent. Can I trust these outside? Not as much. The presence of this additional key destroys any trust in it. Otherwise I'm very happy to say goodbye to buying CR123 batteries for internal use. The flat cable that runs from the battery adapter to the outside of the camera is too fragile. I think you have to keep in mind that the cable needs to be thin and flat to keep the battery sealed, so take care of that end and don't strain it or put creases on it. (I will add a tie and command hook to fix this. Overall the device is well made and just works. Couldn't do better for the price.
