Secure key compartment

Small, handy, easy to open and close, protected from water and sand. While these little cheap fake stones look like any other stone, they are the perfect hiding place for spare keys from the outside. At my house we are notorious for losing our keys. Sometimes temporary, more often permanent. Our home sits on a 2 1/2 acre fenced lot with no neighbors in the high desert and has 4 outside gates that we lock at night or when we are not home for security. It was very convenient to place a stone at each gate next to all the other stones that are already there, knowing that if we get to the gate and need to leave it, we don't have to go back to open the gate. They are sold in pairs and are the cheapest I've found as others have the same price for just one. I prefer clasps to those that slide on hinges - at least for my hands, they're much easier to work with. I had to find other black or charcoal colored rocks in my area to place next to them because this is a desert where most of the rocks are sandy or brown. But it's such a small thing. I am happy with them and give them away to neighbors and also buy more to keep at the gate and front door.
