Warning underwater!

I purchased the TS20 from Revain.com 2 days before my trip to Mexico. Above water the camera meets all expectations (light weight, great photos, easy navigation, thin profile etc. If it weren't advertised as a waterproof camera I would give it 4 stars. Under water is another story. Before I tell it it is happens, you just have to know that before using it in the water, I studied the instructions thoroughly, the first day of the trip was completely off the water, I took symbolic pictures of the mountains, the sea, etc. etc., routine On the second On the 1st day of my trip I went snorkeling and that's when the problems started. I grabbed a snorkel camera and took some great photos and videos underwater. Even in the water the viewfinder provided clear images. After about 30 minutes in the water, I swam back to the boat and caught started cleaning the camera, the manual has basic cleaning instructions and I followed them to the end, about 45 minutes after getting on the boat I took the camera turned out to take a few more shots, but all the buttons were reset started to work. After that, I couldn't zoom in, use the menus, or use any of the camera functions. I was relieved to find that all my pictures/videos were stored on the SD card but the camera still didn't work which is a real shame because the underwater shots turned out great. I am currently returning the camera to Panasonic. to see if there is anything they can do under warranty. At best they fix the camera and I only use it for above water photos. Worst case I bought paper for $135. UPDATE 01/12/2012: At the end of last week I received a new camera. In a note included in the box, Panasonic stated that the camera was either revised or brand new. Judging by the packaging, this is a brand new camera. In any case, the camera is fully functional and was used as my main "out of water" camera. for your information. They also sent me a brand new set of cables, battery, charger etc which was good because I left the original charger in Mexico. About the process: I had to call and get an authorization code, send a camera with an email about what happened and wait about 3-4 weeks. I was never called for status, a replacement just showed up on my doorstep when I got home from work.
