If you enjoy using CB but are not tech savvy, please understand that the range of this small antenna is limited. It works great within a few miles, in fact, on a good property line between two hills, I was able to talk to my wife from my car in her car about 7-8 miles away. It wasn't the clearest signal, but it worked. Anything under 3 miles is crystal clear. Both stations must of course be configured accordingly. Also, you MUST tune the antenna to your radio using a cheap SWR meter to ensure no energy is being returned to your radio and you are getting your full signal. If you use any amplifier, note that it is only rated for a maximum envelope power of 50 watts. Great, inexpensive, damn easy antenna length adjustment and very durable after a few months.
