First off, for the price this is a great lipstick. As I'm a bit older (almost 46), I've recently decided to expand my makeup choices beyond the usual neutrals that I've chosen for the past decade. I didn't want to spend $30 on a lipstick I won't be wearing, so I decided to buy a cheap lipstick to "try" on to see if I could even achieve a bright red. So the color personally matches what is shown on my laptop screen. It's good. It's bluish red. Not plum or fuchsia but a darker red. But after application the color is not saturated, dark (as you can see in the picture. Also, I apologize for the bad application. I applied it without a mirror just to illustrate , as it looks). It actually turns slightly transparent, which is great for me, but it might not be enough for those expecting a richer, more pigmented lipstick. wear lipstick. I would have to reapply it every hour if I wanted it to look fresh. To be honest it dries out my lips a bit which is surprising as it looks shiny when applied. I did not expect this. However, for a very cheap lipstick, this is still a good deal unless you're looking for a lipstick with deep pigment and full coverage.
