I needed something strong that could fold up and hide behind a curtain or something. It definitely helps. The first unit I received was damaged but the seller fixed it and then a few others. I would recommend. EDIT: Unfortunately, after 4 full months of use, I have to downgrade my rating. It will inevitably slide across the hardwood floor if the pedals are pushed too hard (which it will). To make matters worse, the top that holds the wheel doesn't stay in place. It gradually starts to turn down during the gaming session. I am not weak; the screw is too tight. I think the problem is... it's a single screw that holds the open space for the adjustment. It would be impossible to lock as intended.
