Solid Kit/Smells Amazing

My friend has had a beard for a number of years and has never bought anything for it. However, I've spent many hours watching videos, reading reviews, etc. Anything he has that has to do with Bart, I've selected. From his sandalwood comb and boar brush to his soaps, oils, oils and waxes. Even his Norelco and hair and beard straighteners. He uses Professor Fuzzworthy's Beard Shampoo, which I recommend because it's a shampoo that literally lasts a year if you use it once a day. I also recommend a soap lift "teller" for your bar if you're interested. He then uses Seven Potions Oil (Citrus Tonic) and Detroit Grooming Co. in Leland scent (it's AMAZING). The absolute BEST product I have found is Oil. It smells ridiculously good (mango + lime) and works great! He was running out of oil but even as his beard grew long we noticed knots/tangles were becoming common. I ended up here because I was looking for a detangler/beard conditioner. Since this set has everything, I was interested. It's pretty cheap considering what you get, which was a concern for me, but I figured it would do for now. This kit is pretty good, but not perfect. I like the scent very much! When I hug it, it's a very mild scent that reminds me of vanilla, cookies, or milk chocolate/cocoa. It doesn't exactly smell like coconut oil, but I definitely count it in that family. Doesn't smell citrus, cologne/sports, woody or earthy at all. In my opinion a warm aroma in the field of vanilla tobacco. It softens his beard, but not as well as the previously mentioned oil, and we found that after applying conditioner, it still has curves that are difficult to comb out. He didn't mess around with the beard balm in this set, but if he does I'll give an update. I have two complaints: 1) It's filled with a bunch of stuff that's clearly not organic. No different than store bought hair products. When you're dealing with a beard, the presence of alcohol on the ingredient list (among other things) is a bit of a concern. We all know alcohol dries. Most beard products these days pride themselves on having only a few ingredients, and those few ingredients are all natural and nothing that can strip your beard of its natural oils and moisture. 2) I thought the beard conditioner was for the shower. No, that is not so. This is another product that you must use outside of the shower. I was very disappointed because I try to do everything quickly and conveniently for him for fear that he will lose interest if I overwhelm him with 10 million care steps. I thought it would be simple: shampoo and conditioner in the shower, oil outside the shower. I figured I could wash my beard, apply conditioner, rinse, rinse and pop out. He's been using the products for a week now, everything is fine, but I know that after a while (as a woman) you just get tired of all the grooming steps. Finally, how do you get to the point where you stop reapplying your moisturizer and other skin products every time? Single. Day. I have three brothers and was raised by a single father. I know the boys are worse with all this. I also know guys like to keep it short and sweet when it comes to reading reviews so I'll shut up for now haha. A solid set for the price. It could be better, but then it would cost a lot more. Again, I LOVE the scent. All in all worth a try!
