With the right mounting surface and a little patience with the settings, you can get a little Mario GP experience in your home space. Follow the prompts to change the turning radius by 180 degrees. The default value of 270 is more suitable for other racing games with a large turning radius. Second, I have found that the best midpoint of the dead zone is the lowest point of 1 and the sensitivity setting is optimal up to the highest setting of 7. This seems to offer the best way to make sudden steering changes and accommodate steering in skid conditions. At higher CC races of 150 and above you will start to brake more often and these settings work well there. Disabling smart steering is also required in game. The choice of slope and analog signal doesn't seem to matter. Surprisingly addictive for a fairly basic wheel. The pedals have strong springs and the steering wheel is nice in feel and size. It returns to center perfectly if you're that type of rider. My only complaint would be the super thin blades that work as the R and L, they work well but they feel flimsy and I could see them wearing down after many sessions. The ZR and ZL buttons integrated into the steering wheel also support the same functions, but can be accidentally pressed mid-race. This steering wheel is fun, durable and surprisingly responsive, giving me a reason to play the MK8 again. I've tried tarmac but it's too fast and nervous for this wheel.
