2 important steps to consider before you buy!

To use this board, you MUST purchase the following two items with the board (I'll explain later, don't worry)1. Buy your own set of darts (weighing 18g or less). You can get a decent set for less than $20.2. Buy these PRECISE tips (VERY IMPORTANT) - PerfectDarts Pixel Soft Tips by TargetStep. One is important because of the simple fact that the darts that come with the board are mostly toys. They are tiny, too light and very cheap. nowhere near the quality of cheap general purpose bar darts. which are rubbish in and of themselves. I just keep them in the dart holders on the side of the board (as in the picture) because I like the look. The second step is the MOST IMPORTANT to enjoy this board! I repeat, if you don't buy these very tips, you will immediately regret it! I read this in another buyer's review and I'm glad I listened. First of all, the included attachments are complete nonsense. Seriously, just throw them in the trash when you get them. Don't even keep them as spares. I've done a lot of research on tips and most places will tell you that the best tips on the market are the Viper Tufflex III 2BA (made by the same company as this board). So of course I bought a set of 100 pieces, these are the best right? I also bought a set of 50 tips mentioned in step 2 because I read in one of the reviews that after a lot of trial and error they concluded that these tips are the best for this board. After getting the board I decided to experiment with the tips. I placed the Viper Tufflex III 2BA on one dart, the PerfectDarts Pixel on the other and on the third dart I placed the attachment that came with the board. Then I played cricket. The tip that came with the board broke on the second round (the second throw of this dart) in the board. Now when I say I broke the board I don't mean that it broke when it hit the board and the dart fell out. The dart stuck well but when I tried to pull the dart out half of the tip broke off and stayed in the board. As for the Viper Tufflex tip, I don't remember how many pitches I made but that was before I had finished 1 cricket game and this tip did the same. After about 50 games I haven't broken a single one. by Pixel Tips. My wife and daughter (who sometimes have a hard time even hitting the board) probably played about 15 games each as well. still not 1 broken tip. Bottom line, GET PIXEL TIPS! Now for the fee. I'll start with that. The board is $50, remember! In this price range it will not be ideal. However, for the price, I think this is a great board (provided you follow the two steps above). Mistakes - they happen, but not very often. I can average 1-3 points per game which is acceptable for me considering the price of the board. Misses - that happens too. I've had a few instances where the board either registered a different number than what I scored or didn't register a hit at all. This happened probably 7-10 times in the 50 games I've played (which probably equates to over 1000 dart throws). This happens a little more often than I'd like, but given the cost of this board I'd say it's acceptable. arrow stick. Many reviews say the darts stick to the board very well and are difficult to remove. That's right. You won't just walk up to the board and just pull out 1-2-3 darts like you would on bar boards. You need to be slightly twisted and caught most of the time to get out. After a few games, you'll eventually figure out how best to get them with the least amount of effort. My 14-year-old daughter can do it without complaint, you too. It can be a little annoying, but I'd rather have that than a lot of jumps. Screen. Yes the screen can be a little hard to see and blah blah blah. It's a $50 board! He notes the score and tells you whose turn it is. he is doing his job. I have no problems here. The buttons are easy to use, there are tons of games to play and for the price I'm extremely happy with this board. I would recommend and buy again. If only my GranBoard 3 would ever come here!
