I was able to get him on the bus without disturbing anyone and he climbed the curbs and up three floors like a soldier. The material is high quality canvas on the bag and the trolley's plastic platform holds and distributes the weight evenly. . The two main disadvantages are that the cart has a tendency to tip over when placed upright and the bag will slide off the cart's platform, rip curbs and spin in tight corners. Height wise I'm 5ft 8in and I'd say I'm about the last height you could comfortably roll it alongside or behind you.
