I was able to fix some PS4 controllers that stopped charging by installing them. Before ordering, make sure you open the controller and look at the old hardware to get the right replacement as there are many different types of PS4 controllers depending on the generation. There are many videos on YouTube showing how to change this. If your controller stops charging, you may need to replace it and buy a new battery. I also bought a new battery as the controller was not holding a charge due to a bad battery.
