Review on πŸš™ Autool X90 Car Inclinometer Level Tilt Gauge & GPS Speedometer: Accurate Clinometer Indicator for Off-Road Vehicles by Tyler Dorsey

Very cool just wish it was more accurate

I got this mainly as a tilt sensor for my camper van. Those cheap mechanical gimmicks with the image of a jeep just wouldn't work for me. Unfortunately, this gauge only measures in 5Β° increments, making it completely useless for leveling my van. Otherwise it works great. I had some reset issues, but I think it doesn't like it when its power supply is below a certain level. When I tested it at 12 volts it became unreliable below 11.5 volts. When I tested the USB connector, it didn't like voltages below 4 volts. I connected it to a constant 12.6V power supply so it's happy. It's a little tricky to figure out how to set the time zone offset. A tip: when you get to the time zone setting, one button causes the number to decrease and the other to increase it. I had to get up to get the right time. I've found that once you set it, the correct offset changes automatically when you move to other time zones. The altimeter is usually very close to the actual elevation of my location. The digital speedometer is very useful and looks almost as accurate as the original. I probably voided the warranty on this thing but I really like the factory look so I took it out of the case and made a mount. Panels so I can install it in my dashboard. I added control buttons to my dash and added RJ45 connectors to the GPS sensor and motherboard so I can tune the GPS on the dash for a better signal. For my use it would be ideal if the inclinometer worked in 1Β° increments. Right now it looks too pretty to take off so I'm living with a useless tilt sensor. :(
