Thank you for reading my review! The item itself didn't seem strong enough when folded. However, after assembling it (a process that takes only a few seconds and involves inserting a base plate that helps the box maintain its rectangular shape), I was impressed with the material. The fiberglass is smooth but not slippery, which I believe gives the item its "waterproof" properties. In terms of storage, the comics fit comfortably and the design accommodates. I have few comics worth protecting from fire, water, dust and mildew, but I see value for avid collectors. Side handles and a zipper are designed to withstand heavy use, and the tag and lock are added pluses. Bottom line: I think you get a lot for your money, but if you're not concerned about protecting your comics from fire, there are probably cheaper alternatives. I am very happy with the build quality and my worries can now be put to rest knowing my comics are in good hands.
