Brewing beer in small pots has changed my world. I use a bean scale and fill the coffee machine with a carafe several times a day. I love that I can get a consistently good cup of coffee. It requires a little more attention than pushing a button on your clunky coffee maker, but it's worth it. The main reason for this purchase was to reduce my dependency on coffee filters. It's nice that I don't create unnecessary waste, but the real benefit for me is that I don't run the risk of running out of filters. There's nothing worse than waking up in the mood for the perfect mug only to find you're out of filters.
