There are 3 baskets in this item. My experience:*First basket was perfect! Hinges were smooth and basket was easy (EASY!) to assemble.*Second basket had one hinge that would only swing outwards. After bending the heck out of the hinge and in fear of snapping the wall off, we gave up.*Third basket had ALL the hinges swing outwards only. BUT, we knew to look for this problem and only opened them as much as necessary to slide everything into place. That basket is as perfect as the first.*With much careful work with pliers, we were able to make the second basket work, with some cosmetic damage. I took a picture of the problem hinge. We had to work with the bottom hinge too, but it doesn't look as bad.We were able to make it work, so we didn't want to return it (plus, bending the walls back into place for shipping would have been impossible because of the defect), and a full refund would have felt dishonest since we will still be able to use it. The company itself, though, responded to my email and offered a small, partial refund. We are grateful for that and appreciate their customer service.Final word: Would I buy this again? Sure! I know what to look for now to prevent problems! I do think it's overpriced when you are dealing with quality issues such as this, but my order could have been a fluke. My advice is to get it if you like it. Just be careful to only open the hinges as far as necessary unless you know they'll swing freely both ways. And if something doesn't seem right, return it right then for a replacement. Hope this helps someone!
