Review on πŸ‘™ Speedo Girls' UV Swim Shirt Short Sleeve Rashguard Set - Discontinued: Superior Sun Protection for Young Swimmers by Brian Whitmore

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Baggy Top, High Bottoms

The suit is nice overall. The fabric is nice and smooth and the neckline isn't as tight as other rashguards, which is a big plus. (Some of the rashguards we bought were almost impossible to put on my kids' heads.) I have two complaints, however. First, as other reviewers have pointed out, the upper is quite wide and baggy. My preschooler still has a big belly so I figured a looser fit would work for her. but it's still pretty bulky. It looks like a t-shirt, not a skintight swim top. Second, the bottom isn't as crowded as I expected. Most little girls costumes have a short hem, but this one does. Well, they are not cut out at the back to cover the whole buttocks. They appear to intersect diagonally. The manufacturer knows this very well, because he has sewn on small silicone strips at the bottom of the hem so that it does not slip into the wedge. It doesn't necessarily look out of place, but I'm not thrilled. In my opinion a costume for a little girl should be more modest than this. The lower part corresponds to the size. We bought a size 5 suit and I would say the bottoms are a size 4-5 and the top is a size 6. We're keeping this suit but I'm not sure I would buy it again.
