Provides easy access without compromising security.

This case keeps my phone safe and provides extra protection from damage. My priority is to prevent my phone from being lost, damaged or stolen. I also appreciate that I can access it quickly; but not enough to allow too much risk of loss. Maybe I'm not in tune with the many people who use gadgets like tissue paper for funeral homes, but when I'm spending around $1,000 on a gadget that I also rely heavily on in my day-to-day life, I don't really want that it was stolen, lost or broken. As I said above, I am very happy that I can actually access my device very quickly and conveniently. In fact, I can easily do it with one hand. I've developed muscle memory. Contrary to what I've read in at least one other reviewer, I appreciate the clasp. Velcro is pretty good for what it is, but it's still just Velcro. It becomes less and less effective over time. The clasp takes it off as a worry. Also, I would spot a pickpocket attempt more easily with a clasp than with Velcro alone. Love the fact that this holster has sewn in loops rather than a clip on design. Well actually it also has a steel clip for those who like to take it off their belt with ease. I use a permanent sew-on loop in portrait mode, but they also come in landscape mode. This holster is almost perfect for my use case. Next I'll explain why it's not quite perfect. I really like this holster but it's not 100% perfect. I think one area where it could improve is the outer closure. The problem is that the pick-up piece built into the outer top cover is held in place with plastic pins. One day, as I was moving at full speed, I caught the clasp on a thick, immovable object (I think a door latch, if I remember correctly) and the clasp fell off the holster. The velcro still held the phone, and the holster stayed attached to my belt, even though I nearly rolled over. I'm sure if the breech receiver was attached to the valve with steel rivets this wouldn't be a problem. In any case, I continued to use a broken clasp holster for some time; relying only on velcro until he received a new replacement which he bought without hesitation! If there was a competitor product with such a better finish, I would choose this one. But so far it's the best I've found.
