NEEDED to replace the Candelabra ceiling fan with LED bulbs

Love this item! known as candelabra bulbs) in a lighting set. Since 2005, there have been several different federal regulations regarding what types of lamps can be included in a ceiling fan. Some of these rules should promote energy saving. I've also heard that this was partly to prevent people from putting overpowered bulbs in their ceiling fans and overheating or creating a fire hazard (since there is no 60w candelabra bulb). Here's the problem: the light output of candelabra lamps is very poor, even at 60 watts! Even with five bulbs in my 300 watt (!) fixture, the light in the room was mediocre. And to make matters worse, there aren't really many good LED options that come with candelabra bases. So I encountered an enormous power consumption and very poor lighting. When I was considering switching my lighting set to high CRI LED bulbs, I came across this device. I have good electrical skills so it was an easy swap for me. I literally removed all the "guts" of my old lighting gear, screwed this thing back on and plugged it in. The existing ball is simply screwed onto the bottom of this socket. With four 60W FEIT LED bulbs that correspond to a high CRI (93+), THIS THING IS BRIGHT! I am VERY SATISFIED with the results and with my new much brighter light which is now only 36 watts! Please note that this Satco base does NOT have a chain switch to turn the fan on and off. My old lighting kit had this feature but it wasn't necessary as it was plugged into the wall switch anyway. So I lost an unnecessary function. If that's important to you, there *is* a more expensive version that retains the tow chain on/off switch. Much luck. I'm very happy with how my fan turned out.
