Review on AHL Starter Clutch Bearing Superbike by Josh Lockhart

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Complete Scrap - Parts

I ordered this starter clutch assembly back in August. It's October 20, 2021 and all the teeth on the gear have broken off. He also damaged the starter idler wheel, which I now have to replace. The return period has expired for 14 days, but I find that unacceptable. All work was carried out professionally. Now I'm waiting for an answer from the seller how he will do it right. If so, I'll be happy to change my rating. Edit: The seller was extremely unhelpful. After asking the Ducati mechanic to verify the damage, the mechanical engineer as well as my own years of experience, we all came to the same conclusion that the starter clutch gear was of poor quality, failed and caused damage to other components. The seller says exactly the opposite. They claimed that they had such an amazing product that there wasn't even the slightest chance of it failing. They stated that what appeared to be new damage to the starter idler gear (the gear in direct contact with the starter) was actually old wear and was causing the starter clutch gear to fail. Argued with them for about 3-4 days, it was clear that they would not help. I submitted a complaint through Revain and received a full refund for the product. As expensive as it is, I wouldn't skimp on this part. I was very lucky that the metal parts didn't end up in the motor itself as that would mean I would need a new motor. Learn from my mistake and don't skimp on non-Ducati parts. I knew better, but I was desperate.
