This small camera emits sufficient light when motion is detected. The alarm (siren) isn't the loudest, but it's annoying enough to let you know something was caught on camera. The Wi-Fi setup is easy to use. The camera uses a USB port for power, so you can always get an extension cord to get more power cord length. The picture quality is pretty good too. Once the headlight is turned on by movement, the image quality improves due to the light. I ended up turning off the alarm part (easy to do in the app) and set the camera up on my garden shed. When I go outside to the stable, the light turns on automatically to illuminate the path - very convenient. To configure this camera there is a separate application from Amcrest - Amcrest Smart Home. What annoyed me at first was that I had to use a separate app to view and control the camera (I have a couple of IP cameras on the DVR). However, once the camera is set up, you can simply add it to your NVR and use an app (the Amcrest View Pro app in my case).
