For my new towel rails, my wall mount handle stopper was too short to prevent the doorknob from touching the towel rail. They work and adjust perfectly so you decide in which position the door will stop. I installed (2 per door) 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom hinge of my door as recommended by another reviewer. One goes, but 2 keep the door more stable. Here are the simple installation steps 1) Close the door. You can consider a piece of wood or whatever you need to walk under the door to hold it in place, use a helper, or just be really quick. 2) Insert a Phillips screwdriver into the bottom of the door hinge and push with a hammer until the hinge pin pops out. 3) Use a flathead screwdriver under the hinge pin head and hammer it up and out of the hinge. 4) Place this item on the pin and return the pin to the hinge. Round rubber tip towards the door 5) Tap the pivot pin head until it clicks into place
