Works with Late 2018 Mac Mini, including Mid 2020 models.

This memory works well in a late 2018 Mac Mini, including mine that was built in August 2020 (yes, a 2020 model is still technically late 2018). I used the OWC installation video (from their website) and while the installation isn't "easy", it's still quite easy. In terms of storage performance, there was a noticeable improvement in Nova Bench in every real world as well. measure up. I upgraded from base 8GB. A brand new system test with OEM memory (Micron) scored 1780, slightly above average. It was 1880 with this memory (based on Samsung). Memory test increased from 260 to 355. Not groundbreaking, but a noticeable improvement. Mini slows down when multitasking with 8GB. It doesn't come with anything like 32GB or more. I went with 64GB in hopes that I could allocate a bigger chunk of total storage with the Intel 630 graphics card, which is the Mini's bottom line. My system has an i7, a 1TB main drive and a faster NIC. You will need the following tools: an anti-static/electrostatic work surface, I recommend anti-static gloves, a small plastic spatula (for the bottom cover and 2 motherboard connectors), a tamper-proof T-6H bit or a torx screwdriver for the bottom panel (6 screws) , a T-6 Torx bit for the fan (T-6H fits these screws), a T-10 Torx for the two motherboard screws, and a T-5 for the 4 screws holding the metal cover over the memory. I bought an anti-static mat, anti-static gloves and a set of Revain precision multi-tip screwdrivers. Available cheaply from Revain, the 119-piece Royace set includes everything you need to complete the task. and almost anything phone and computer related. If you already have a set of precision bits but don't have a T-6H bit (most base sets only go up to T-8H), you can buy (from Revain) a small 16-bit kit from Arumin that covers Torx sizes from T-5H to T-50H. These are standard bits and will not fit in the tight space on the side of the fan - this task requires a precision/mini Torx T-6 bit. Hope the information helps.
