UPDATE: The lights stopped working after about 6 months so my rating has changed from 3 to 1 star. Pros: The tree was easy to set up and beautiful. The package arrived quickly and without damage. The Bad: The 8-mode dimmable garland and remote control are disappointing. I choose this tree specifically for the shimmer and blackout. The flicker mode starts off well, but then turns into a jerky flash and the light doesn't dim. I know the remote works because I can easily turn the lights on and off and change modes. Changing the mode with the button on the fork gives the same results. The other patterns seem to work fine if you like blinking and fading light patterns, but that's not what I was looking for. Also the tree is not 6 feet high; maybe 5 feet 9 inches at most. With all that being said, I'll probably leave it because it looks fine at steady state.
