The packaging of this lounger leaves a lot to be desired. It arrived unassembled in a box, but it came with a green carry case which I ended up stuffing all the parts into before taking it upstairs to the kids room for assembly. I like the feel of the material. It's a bit heavy but soft and I can tell it will last through many washes. I got this in pure white because it's simple, minimal, and clean. The flat mattress it came with was impressively firm but not rock hard. I have other sunbeds, cheaper ones that lack the rigidity that newborns need. This lounger is at the best end of quality baby loungers. I'd say they're like the ones that cost a few hundred dollars, except you're paying at least half the price. I wouldn't say it's an off the shelf gift as again it comes unassembled in a plain box. But if you or the recipient of the gift don't mind, I'd say go for it. A really good sun lounger for the price. It only requires assembly and a day or two to air out.
