I have returned this item. I have other RIO chairs with a high seat (17 inch) and needed another one. But this one is terrible. The lacing under the seat can be felt through the seat. The bar at the front of the seat (under the hips) is painfully uncomfortable. I ordered a tall RIO with a canvas seat (no laces or frames at the front of the seat). I know this design is comfortable because of my other RIO chairs.

Good chair; However, the seat is lower than the bar of the chair, so when you sit it cuts into the back of your legs, which becomes uncomfortable after a few minutes. It helps to fold extra towels into the seat to raise the seat height or higher than the crossbar. I'll try to find a pillow that completely covers the barbell for more comfort. That issue aside, it's great if you want to sit higher to make it easier to get out of your chair and recline for sunbathing or lounging on the beach.

The seat is too narrow with more than two inches of rope attached to the aluminum sides so you are basically sitting on a narrow strip of nylon to support your entire bottom is not enough and the nylon sinks under the bar, so that your thigh is always pressed against the bar.
