Ideal for a large 5 year old (class K). My kid loved it and wore it with pajamas for warmth around the house and called it his "pajamas" because it was cozy and warm like pajamas. The shirt is lined so the weight of the shirt is medium to thick. I love that it is a lovely unisex design so it will be a pleasure to wear on me regardless of the gender of the kids. The buffalo check pattern is very modern. and the farmhouse is cool and a bit Christmassy, but not overly "festive" seasonal. I wear this model without any problems at any time of the year when the weather calls for it. It's nice enough for a gift and the price seems good for what you get. I think it's good value for money. Overall I would recommend it.
