The picture is clear even if the room is not completely dark. Of course you get the clearest picture in the darkest room. With the light on, the image is still visible. It only seems that it has high brightness, but the movie can be viewed. The built-in speaker is sufficient for the room. We hooked it up to an external speaker to get more bass. The projector comes with a remote control, which is very convenient. You can connect various devices (cables included). We've hooked up a streaming device to access our video subscriptions, so there's plenty of movies! We're fanatics and have missed movies since the pandemic began. That's why we paired this projector with the largest affordable screen that could possibly fit in our space-constrained home to satisfy that 'movie feel'. We're all a perfect match. Budget is limited but coupons and financing are available so we went for it. We love our home cinema! Be patient with our products (for a while), we have eye candy ;D
