This is a very complicated wrist rest. I thought it would immobilize your wrist but there is no metal plating or hard plastic mold to form the wrist. It consists of 5 thin strips of plastic that don't hold their shape and bend very easily. You might think this should be flexible, but it isn't. This can be handy, you basically have the first strap and then the strap on the outside, which is no different than buying cheap $5 straps. The thumb loop is useless, you can adjust it but it doesn't really keep the thumb in place. I have many wrist braces, one rigid from Doctor and another grade brace from Muller and more aggressive braces from Evoshield. They all have different functions and uses, but it's confusing. It's light but bulky (too many straps). It's hard to imagine what will support it, but there is no support like a hard metal band or a hard plastic band. A useless or non-working thumb strap, even tightening it doesn't do anything important, see picture, it's very flimsy, it just gets in the way. So I rate different types of bracelets according to their usage, but this one is hard to understand. Just because people say it's small or comfortable enough I think it's the wrong design.
