To sum up, the 928 series has gone downhill since the release of the V2. My first pair of 928s were black V1 shoes which I purchased from my podiatrist who is an authorized New Balance retailer. They have lasted me over 3 years (worn 2 of them on the left side daily with a custom made ankle brace/brace) and as you can see I still have to wear them occasionally, I have attached pictures of how worn they are. , and they just had outsole wear. Although the top and bottom are STILL attached and sealed. My second pair of 928s was a brown V2 that I bought again from my podiatrist. They lasted about 4 months before the right sole came loose and burst completely! I chalked it up to an accident with the possibility of water damage and blamed myself. I attempted a repair that lasted a couple of weeks and decided to buy ANOTHER pair of 928s and wellies for rainy days. on 09/17 Worn in good weather with minimal stress, these shoes had the SAME RESULTS as the V2 shoes in just 3 months! I tried fixing them again with a higher quality adhesive and they lasted a month before cracking again! Your photos are also attached. I loved and adored my original V1s, but New Balance has ditched this once amazing line. Save money and buy another brand if you need more support/motion control. They're not worth the price of a crappy design!
