Exactly 1 year ago I bought my wonderful hob. The picture above shows what is known as a grate seat, which prevents the burner grates from scratching the stainless steel surface. For the last 6 months they kept falling out when I removed the grilles to clean the surface of the SS. I would replace them every time. I was frustrated and actually lost a pair so today I called customer service (Electrolux) to ask them to send 12 new ones. They told me they come in packs of 8 with silicone (it still didn't work) for $59 but shipping is free. If I had bought the seats without the silicone, it would have been just under $4 each ($48). After getting off the floor, I asked the agent to take me to the customer service manager. I made that clear so she knew I really needed to be replaced and that they couldn't cost more than a cent each. Told her the silicone obviously wasn't working so I didn't want it. Asked if there was anything she could do for me that would be even remotely fairer than $60! nope! I told her I would go to Revane if she was interested.
