I have a new Macbook with two USB Type-C ports. In order for my MacBook to work with older USB devices, I need a USB Type-C hub. Before that, I bought a USB-C hub. 1st has a small connection problem. This is the second USB-C hub I've bought. I was impressed with the versatile features of this USB-C hub. I After testing a few days during Memorial Day season, I have to rate it more than 5 stars. In one setup I connect a USB mouse, a printer and an iPhone 6plus with 3 USB ports, an SD card and a micro SD card to the SD card slots. All these connected devices work as expected. Reading large image and video files from an SD card is as fast as reading from a USB3 card reader. I also like the thin design of the hub. It takes up little space on my desktop. The patch cable seems to be stronger than a normal USB cable. Both ends of the cable are reinforced with rubber rivets for durability. To my surprise, an extra USB to USB-c adapter is included as a gift. It helps a lot when I travel with a MacBook. This is a great purchase well worth the money.
