Good miniature to start with

This is my second theater box (the first were the forest bunnies from this series). It was a lot easier and with fewer steps than the other box, but I have to keep in mind that I mastered some of the skills and deciphering the instructions while completing the first one. The first lasted about 12 hours for about 2 weeks. This was completed in about 6-7 hours in less than a week. The slowdown on these projects has to do with waiting for the glue to set, and since the instructions are so complicated, you really can't work ahead or prepare other things to quickly move on to the next few steps (seriously, not even to attempt). You could probably do this whole project on a TV stand, but I used the corner of my kitchen table that I could leave intact and laid out my materials while I worked with it. I also suggest that you keep your rubbish in a small bag or box and only throw it out when you're done as I had to dig around a few times to find something. You'll need a bright desk lamp and maybe some reading glasses (even if you don't normally use them, borrow some from your dad). This set didn't have tweezers, but the previous set did, so I was able to reuse them. It definitely helps with smaller items. I also found it helpful to have smaller, heavier items that can be used to hold small builds while they dry. Some things need to be dried at an angle or in an unusual way. The XActo knife is very handy for the smallest items, but I've tried to use scissors as much as possible as I can get a more precise cut with them. will close. Keep in mind that you are putting extra fabric or materials on top, which will add thickness. In the two I've made, they're both just close together, and I wish I'd made the foam with a slightly thinner profile. Despite the fact that there is a pattern and dimensions, it is difficult to cleanly and evenly cut dense foam. Overall I've really liked the 2 kits I've made so far and bought a 3rd one to work on in the cold weather and short term. days come. It was a welcome change from the jigsaw puzzles that helped me get through the early days of Covid.
