We have a rescue with a chronic case of Krypto (a microscopic cat parasite that you never get rid of). Many cats get it but never show any signs because their immune system and digestive tract can handle the outbreak. But our cat has multiple health issues and falls victim to crypto several times a year. If his digestive tract fails, the cryptocurrency will destroy his insides. which then wreaks havoc on my carpet. it really is a fucking mess! We haven't had a bout of this in about 8 months, so we're kinda "late" for one. The vet suggested a grain free diet - it is. So far no sign of the crypt - but since it only erupts twice a year on average, we can't yet judge whether the food is to blame or not. The pieces are small. Smaller than Cat Chow (which we used). I like it because we don't think our rescued cat is chewing on his food. Like I said, he has some health issues and we think he just holds food in his mouth, softens it and then swallows it without chewing. But he doesn't seem to prefer wet food to dry food. Oh, the mysteries of this cat. He definitely likes this food. And there were still no problems with digestion.
