Worked on my small scratches

Ok so I don't have before photos but the TV stand is a dark wood color (not real wood otherwise I would use Old English). But you can imagine what the light scratches looked like and upset me considering I paid $300 for a TV stand and it wasn't even a year old. I used a fine tipped brush and gradually squeezed out, letting the brush tip fall right out of the tube. The colors are lighter than they appear so I used a combination of three colors (as you can see from the photos one color would look completely ridiculous so unless your furniture is solid you really should mix and match). As an undertone to hide some of the light color I used teak. As a base, I set a point on Padauk and slightly blended it with my finger. Finally, I traced the dark lines of the original drawing with Dark Walnut and traced them again with my finger. If you don't use high beam or shine directly on it, you won't be able to see any scratches. If it's too shiny for you, you can always do it like me, touching it lightly with your fingertip to give it some texture. If you want a professional restoration and you don't have an artistic background like me, you can get professional services. But I love it and the fact that I could do it myself. If you don't like it, you should use a sponge with water or your finger to remove it so you can try again. If you have big scratches you can spend some time mixing colors instead of layering them like I did. Use the brush to stay on the edges of the scratches. I am going to use this to restore my cherry wood chair, I love home projects!
