I've been buying this brand for 20 years. They serve about 3-4 years and then fall out. This is the nature of headphones that are commonly used. I always spend around 60β¬. If you take the more expensive ones, they still fail in 3-4 years. The quality is the same. The trick to getting them in your ears is to moisten your lips. If you try to dry them out, you will hate them. Push them as deep as you can without causing pain. If you feel pain, insert it too far. It is extremely important to get a tight fit for the best possible sound. You should hear very little outside noise. Now the MK5 isolators come without filters, previously they always came with filters and I don't know why that decision was made. They say that there is now an internal filter that is not visible. The secret behind the etymotic sound quality lies in the triple flange that isolates most outside noise so you can hear the music.
