I'm really impressed with this little scratching post. It took my cats a while to start scratching it, but they've been brushing it since I bought it. The fabric is very durable and even the skirting board is made of real wood. The adhesive attaches to the baseplate with Velcro, and the adhesive pad itself is a command strip. This allows you to tear the scratching post off the adhesive at any time and then simply pull the tab to remove it from the wall without damaging it. The only downside to this is that you have to remove a very thin piece of plastic from the control panel first. The ivory color goes really well with my white eggshell wall!
