This will be the first 2nd generation Apple Pencil 2 case or other case than the simple silicone cases I've found. I have no idea why it takes companies so long to design it? This one is actually pretty good, although I'm looking for a metal case or something that will keep mine from breaking when I'm using it on construction sites. This case has thicker silicone than most silicone cases you will find. The hard plastic end protects well, I've dropped it on this end several times, everything is fine. The clip is useful for attaching the pen to a thin bag or backpack, for example. The tip stays on pretty well, with just enough friction to keep it within reasonable limits. It still allows you to use the magnetic charger on the side of your iPad Pro and has a flat side that prevents it from rolling. I wish it was all hard plastic if I wanted to change something.
